Protection of electronic interlockings

Electronic interlocking systems are key facilities in railway operations for controlling and monitoring signals and points at stations and on sections of track. A large number of sensors for recording train positions and actuators for controlling the infrastructure are also connected. To exchange the recorded data with other interlockings and central control centres, they are integrated into complex communication networks.
